Selected Work

These are Japan-based projects that demonstrate my approach to Japanese customer communication, website structure and conversion flow.

International market-entry case studies will be added as they are completed.

1-UP English School Website

Official website production for an English school serving children and adults.

The project organised the teaching offer so parents could understand the service more easily and created clear paths to free trial lessons and LINE enquiries.

Scope: site structure, design, copy editing, mobile optimisation, LINE enquiry flow, trial sign-up flow and deployment.

Lumina Studio / Mariko Ohno Website

Strategy, copy and website production for a bilingual business serving two very different audiences: Japanese small businesses and overseas businesses considering Japan.

The two sides are intentionally structured as separate services rather than direct translations.

Japan-based customer results

  • 12Website enquiries

One campaign received all 12 enquiries through the website.

  • 0 → 1After a quiet period

A focused landing page contributed to a campaign sale after a period with no sales.

  • ChosenTrust at the decision point

A client was selected because the website made the person behind the service easier to understand and trust.

Individual outcomes vary. These examples show how customer-facing information can affect the decision to enquire or buy.
